Talia Castellano, The World's Most Inspiring CoverGirl, Dies Of Cancer At 13!

After her brave fight against cancer, YouTube sensation and honorary CoverGirl Talia Castellano has sadly passed away at age 13.

Talia died on July 16 after battling neuroblastoma for the past six years, according to E! Online. She had also been diagnosed with pre-leukemia and had been hospitalized for the past six months.

The Florida-based teen was a talented makeup artist and had been given an honorary CoverGirl ad. She had appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in September 2012 and had a clothing line and YouTube channel.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am,” her Facebook page read this morning. “Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven, and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time.”

Thanks to her funny, upbeat demeanor, her YouTube makeup tutorials got more than 40 million views.

“This year, I met a very special girl, and today we lost her,” Ellen wrote on Twitter today. “Sending my heart to Talia’s family. I’m so sad.”

When Talia appeared on Ellen’s show, Ellen asked her, “How do you stay so positive?”

“When people ask me that, I’m just, ‘What do you want me to do? Be depressed?” Talia replied.

We’re thankful that Talia was able to bring joy to so many people. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this very tough time.
