Tyra Banks is cleaning house on America’s Next Top Model, firing Nigel Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel from the series.

I know Banks went to business school and got herself a fancy MBA, but where’s the loyalty to the America’s Next Top Model panel of experts that fans of the show love?

The New York Post’s Page Six reports that Banks fired Barker, Alexander and Manuel and they got the news yesterday morning that their contracts weren’t being renewed for Cycle 18.

Banks did take to her Facebook page to share the news:

“To my Nigel Barker, Miss J, and Mr Jay: Thank you for all of our years together on America’s Next Top Model. Working with you is always an absolute pleasure. Excited for what the future holds for us.”

The crappiest part is that these guys have been there since the start of ANTM, despite the changeups that have happened over the cycles with previous judges, including Janice Dickinson, Kimora Lee Simmons, Twiggy, Paulina Porizkova, Andre Leon Talley, Beau Quillian, Eric Nicholson and Nole Marin.

Kelly Cutrone has been confirmed to return as a judge on cycle 18.

America’s Next Top Model’s executive producer Ken Mok told Page Six:

“Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander have been an integral part of the America’s Next Top Model brand and they helped turn this show into the household name it is today. They have been amazing assets to the show and will always be a part of the Top Model family. We will continue to actively work with each of them on future projects.”

It sucks to see so much love for these guys from Banks and Mok, but as these things go, it’s likely time that they tried to breathe some new life into the aging series.

Banks also tweeted:

“Fierce & love 2 my Nigel, Jay & Miss J. ANTM turned us in2 a family. Excited for what the future holds for us.”

Fierce, indeed.
