It may be getting warmer outside, but the chill is in the air for fans of HBO’s critically-acclaimed series, “Game of Thrones.” The network finally released the anticipated trailer for Season 2 of the fantasy drama.
The trailer, narrated by Varys (Conleth Hill), features some of our favorites from the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros – Jon Snow and Arya – and some of our… well, not-so-favorites – King Joffrey.
Looks like Tyrion. played by the Emmy winning and Golden Globe winning Peter Dinklage, is finally ready to play the game. Sharpen your daggers “Game of Thrones” fans, the cold winds are rising, and we all know what that means – WINTER IS COMING.
The show returns on April 1. Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes. Check out the trailer below.
Dick Van Dyke presents the Lifetime Achievement Award to his former “Dick Van Dyke Show” co-star Mary Tyler Moore, delivering a heartfelt speech citing her screen work and humanitarian work. Moore received a standing ovation from the crowd.
Moore began her speech by recalling how she had to alter her name from “Mary Moore” due to multiple listings of the same name in the SAG roster.
“I, too, am happy after all,” Moore said while wrapping up her speech.
There’s no question that Mary Tyler Moore deserved to be recognized for her achievements.
When Van Dyke was finished with his introduction and the taped piece had played, Mary Tyler Moore was standing at the podium already. She didn’t walk on stage.
After she completed her charming acceptance speech, she didn’t move. When Van Dyke stepped in to give her a kiss on the cheek, she seemed startled. It was a little weird. She was never shown walking off stage.
There was an awkwardness about it. I wondered if she was suffering from a health issue.
I know she’s had some health problems relatively recently.
I hope all is well. I wish her years of good health and congratulate her on the lifetime achievement award.
They’re always one of the biggest draws on the red carpet, and this time around was no different as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie caused a frenzy upon arrival to the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday evening (January 29).
With Angelina wearing a black Jenny Packham dress, the “Mr and Mrs Smith” co-star couple brought their good looks to the Shrine Exposition Center while posing arm-in-arm before heading inside for the sure-to-be-eventful ceremony.
Not just a mere spectator, Mr Pitt happened to have the important task of taking the stage as one of the show’s illustrious presenters.
Also among the nominees, Brad was up for Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Leading Role for his work in “Moneyball” though he ended up losing out to “The Artist” star Jean Dujardin.
