Barbara Walters has just announced that Whoopi Goldberg will replace Rosie O’Donnell on “The View” starting this Fall. Whoopi has already guest hosted several times during the summer and it’s no surprise that she was chosen. I mean they wanted a name and shit.
Whoopi reportedly beat out Sherri Sheperd, Kathy Griffin, Roseanne Barr, Gayle King and Joan Rivers for the top spot!
I think Whoopi is an excellent choice. Funny and smart. Love that snatch!

Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Sheperd will both join “The View” this fall… full-time according to reports. Both have filled in plenty of times during the summer. Sources say that offers have been made to both of them and negotiations are currently underway. Sherri has said publicly that she would love the job. An announcement is expected to be made next week. ABC would not comment.
Whoopi is actually really, really good on The View. She’s confident, doesn’t take any shit, but isn’t a rude bitch like Rosie. That Sherri is going to be the next Star Jones… Barbara better watch out! She has the same diva want to be attitude as Star and she is as big as Star once was… mark my words she’ll be causing trouble.
