Michael’s Daughter’s Speech Was Not Planned

By now, everyone has seen Paris Michael Katherine Jackson’s moving speech on stage at her father Michael Jackson’s public memorial service yesterday.

Ken Ehrlich, the producer of the Michael Jackson memorial, told CNN that he “didn’t know the kids were going to come up with them” and that the touching moment “was not planned.”

He added, “A lot of the show was not scripted. Music was laid out, but most of the speakers really spoke from their heart – people who knew Michael well – and I think that’s what gave the show its heart.”

The Jackson family truly wanted it to be a public memorial and not a TV show, making it clear that “we don’t want to do a TV show, we want to do a memorial service. We hope you got the feeling you were watching a memorial service.”
