Kanye West was sucking on a bottle of Hennessey before the MTV VMAs began. Now Star says he’s using the alcohol as an excuse for rushing the stage, grabbing the mic from Taylor Swift and telling everyone Beyonce had the best video of all time and will go to rehab as soon as he finishes his Fame Kills tour with Lady GaGa. All this seems like speculation of course. No one on his side has said anything about it.

West hasn’t blogged about it, there was no comment from his camp, and friends close to West say it’s not true, so maybe this is just the product of a game of telephone gone awry during a slow news week.

This is my question, is there such thing as solo rehab? Because the quickest way to get a drunk reaching for their poison is to put Kanye West in the same room as them. That will make you fuck your sobriety directly in the asshole. Seriously, they should add a 13th step: Keep away from all things Kanye-related!

What was supposed to be an off the record comment during a CNBC interview, ended up being heard everywhere after an ABC News anchor twittered it. “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential,” wrote Terry Moran.

Just now, the audio recording made its way to the internets. Kanye was unavailable for comment because his caps lock is broken.

And by “kind of” I mean “complete and total.” Kanye embarrassed wholesome Taylor Swift in front of millions of viewers last night at the VMAs by hijacking the microphone and proclaiming that she didn’t deserve the award for Best Female Video. You stay classy Kanye! From the Associated Press:

Taylor Swift was relishing her unlikely win of best female video at the MTV Video Music Awards. The 19-year-old knew that the network doesn’t exactly make a habit out of giving their moonman trophies to country music stars.

“I was standing on the stage and I was really excited because I had just won the award,” Swift said after Sunday’s show at Radio City Music Hall. “And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on the stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that.”

Taking the microphone, the rapper protested Swift’s selection and announced that Beyonce, also nominated, should have won because her “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)” was “one of the best videos of all time.”

A stunned Swift staggered and didn’t get to finish her acceptance speech. The crowd booed West, who shortly after was asked to leave the show and left the building.

Of course, backstage, Taylor responded like any normal 19-year-old girl would. She cried. Honestly, the only way Kanye could come off worse in this situation is if he pulled off his mask on stage and revealed that he was actually Hitler.
