Less than a month after David Duchovny left a treatment facility for sex addiction, representatives for the couple have announced that Duchovny and Tea Leoni have separated. Star Magazine reports:

“In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months,” the statement said. “The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children.”

The two were married since 1997, and really, this is just sad and I don’t have anything snarky to say about it… Even though I still want to kidnap David Duchovny using a van and some ether, and rape the bejeesus out of his confused, sex-addicted ass. But to be fair, I’ve wanted to do that since before they even got married. So this doesn’t change my feelings about that, anyway.

“David has successfully completed his rehabilitation,” Duchovny’s lawyer told Usmagazine.com on Monday. “He is out of rehab and will be starting a movie soon.”

Sex rehab hasn’t been good to David’s looks. Bitch is looking a little craggy in the face. This is what a dude’s mug looks like after his peen hasn’t barfed for a while. Dry spell face. Hopefully, David is all better now and will stop abusing the sexy times. The sexy times is your friend, David. Don’t hurt it.

Remember that thing a few days ago about David Duchovny going to rehab for porn addiction and not because he cheated on his wife Téa Leoni? Oops. If you’re to believe anonymous sources, turns out he was cheating on her.

Earlier this week [on FoxNews.com], a friend of Duchovny’s scoffed at claims that [he] was unfaithful to [his wife], suggesting that [Duchovny] was hooked on porn.

But The National Enquirer reports that Leoni “finally caught him [cheating]. Tea gave him an ultimatum: ‘Get treatment or our marriage is over. At first, Duchovny tried to lie his way out of trouble, but eventually was overwhelmed with guilt and confessed.”

US Weekly us weekly concurs that Duchovny “has a history of indiscretions,” [claiming] he put the moves on an extra on Californication. “They ended up making out,” alleges a source. “She later heard this wasn’t the first time he’d taken special interest in an extra.”

I don’t know what to believe. Wasn’t there an episode of the X-Files where this ESP guy who could see how people would die in the future told Mulder that “auto-erotic asphyxiation wasn’t the way to go?” That would suggest he was probably more of a chronic masturbator. But there was also an episode of Californication that was about him having sex with lots of different women as many times as possible. Pretty much the whole series, yeah. So, following that school of thought, he’d be a whoremonger.

But what to make of those episodes of The Red Shoe diaries where he was always pictured walking alone down a set of train tracks? I’d say all signs point to “hobo-killer,” possibly “runaway circus clown with schizophrenia.” That definitely makes the most sense here. Three cheers for deductive reasoning!

After news broke last week that David Duchovny entered rehab for sex addiction, everyone naturally assumed that he’d been cheating on his wife Téa Leoni. Nope. He’s just addicted to Internet porn. Fox News says:

Duchovny’s problem has been longstanding. His wife, Téa Leoni , was aware of it for some time. It had just reached a point where it had to be treated.

I have inferred from my conversation with Duchovny’s friend that this has something to do with an addiction to pornography, probably on the Internet. It’s the sex equivalent of a gambling addiction, where the person is just hopelessly trapped in chat rooms.

Tea needs to lighten up. Now her man is gonna be all embarrassed. I don’t know who decided that enjoying porn meant you were addicted, but I bet it was someone fat. Fat people are always real jealous of sexual creatures like me and David Duchovny.

In some seriously disturbing WTF? news, X-Files actor David Duchovny has entered a rehabilitation center for sex addiction. Another case of art imitating life? According to People Magazine

“I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction,” the actor says in a statement. “I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family.”

With all due respect to Tea Leoni and their beautiful children, David Duchovny isn’t a sex addict! Would you say that Monet was a painting addict, or that Ghandi was a peace addict? No. Sometimes God just bestows these incredible gifts onto mankind, and to not share them with the world would be, in a word, selfish. And David Duchovny was clearly born with the gift of sexy. It isn’t simply a compulsion for him to share the reverse cowgirl with the world’s women… It is God’s will.

Californication, a 12-episode comedy with plenty of nudity, is set to air in August.
