Earlier this month, Christina Applegate revealed she had been diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer. Today, she claims she is “100% cancer free” thanks to a double mastectomy. Ouch. People reports:

Privately, she admits, “Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I scream, and I get really angry and I get really into wallowing in self-pity sometimes, and I think it’s all part of healing.” Having watched her mother, Nancy Priddy, battle breast cancer – and then suffer from a recurrence many years later – the Emmy-nominated star of Samantha Who?, 36, told interviewer Robin Roberts that she wasn’t taking any chances….”My decision, after looking at all the treatment plans that were possibilities for me, the only one that seemed the most logical and the one that was going to work for me was to have a bilateral mastectomy,” said Applegate. “So basically I had a prophylactic double mastectomies.” Explaining her rationale in taking that dramatic step, she said, “I didn’t want to go back to the doctors every four months for testing and squishing and everything. I just wanted to kind of be rid of this whole thing for me. This was the choice that I made, and it was a tough one.” The surgery took place three weeks ago. She did not undergo radiation or chemotherapy.”

I’m happy to hear that Christina is going to be alright. Let’s all celebrate by getting off of our fat asses and doing the “Bundy Bounce” in her honor. I guess this means that Christina Applegate is getting implants now. I think that’s one good thing about breast cancer.

Christina Applegate’s boyfriend of 2 years, Lee Grivas, was found dead in his apartment on July 1st. The National Enquirer reports that the 26-year-old died from an apparent heroin overdose. An official cause of death has not been issued, of course.

A source said that Christina is “absolutely devastated over the sudden loss.” I’m sure that’s an understatement.

TMZ confirms the death and claims a neighbor found him.

The two met in 2006 while Christina was doing “Sweet Charity” on Broadway and still married to Johnathon Schaech. Christina and Lee broke up several times, because of his drug problems and she “couldn’t stand by and watch him ruin his life.” Lee was a fisherman, photographer and skateboarder.

Schaech was awarded more than $1.5 million in bank accounts and a 2001 Mercedes-Benz S500. Christina scored $7.5 mil in bank accounts, a 2006 Lexus, and two of the couple’s LA residences. I think it’s clear who won.
