Bill Murray’s wife of 10+ years, Jennifer, filed for divorce earlier this month in a Charleston County, South Carolina court. In the court filing, Murray’s wife accuses the actor of adultery, drug abuse, abandonment, physical abuse, and I’m pretty sure that’s all she could check. People Magazine says

According to Jennifer Murray, the actor’s alcohol, marijuana and sex addictions were among the reasons she felt forced to [separate]. The filing adds that Bill Murray once “hit his wife in the face and then told her she was ‘lucky he didn’t kill her.’” She has also requested a restraining order against her husband

The Murrays signed a prenuptial agreement in which Bill would pay his wife $7 million in a divorce, but she has asked the court to determine whether the agreement is valid.

When asked if the disturbing allegations made by his wife were just an attempt to solicit a bigger payout in the proceedings, Bill said, “Yeah, I definitely smell a rat. I smell varmint poontang. And the only good varmint poontang is dead varmint poontang, I think.” Marriage might be fleeting, but “Caddyshack” is forever!

Early Sunday Bill Murray was pulled over in Sweden after drunk driving a golf cart in Stockholm. When police told him they could smell alcohol, Murray refused to take a breathalyser test because he knows his rights.

Detective-Inspector Christer Holmlund of the Stockholm police:

“He refused to blow in the [breathalyser] instrument, citing American legislation. So we applied the old method – a blood test. It will take 14 days before the results are in.”

Murray is a expert drunk Holmlund said:

“There were no obvious signs, like when someone is really tipsy.”

If tests show his blood alcohol level exceeded Sweden’s limit, Murray will more than probable be fined. “It was a golf cart. How it ended up in this predicament I don’t know,” Holmlund said.

Pleasant. The younger celebrities drunk drive cars, but the older and wiser celebrities play it safe with golf carts.

I guess it doesn’t really matter what mean of transportation you choose - just always remember to get liquored up before you get behind the wheel. I think that’s the message celebrities have been trying to get through to us these last several months, right?
