Got a call from a friend in Chicago this morning. Some sad news… Randy Salerno was killed in a snow mobiling accident. I am really saddened by the loss of Randy Salerno. I have watched him for years as a news anchor. The biggest impact Randy made in my life is how he covered the 9/11 attack. As always, in the morning I would watch WGN news. On that horrible day, 9/11, as Randy and Roseanne were reporting you could see the monitor in the background and the plane’s struck. Roseanne was a bit in shock and Randy pulled in the reigns. His coverage and demeanor were incredible – he remained calm and precise with his words. Thank You Randy for all you have done for our beautiful city of Chicago.
