Natalie Portman brings back the 80s in the new issue of V Magazine, where the actress talks about why she didn’t like her performance in Star Wars, her favorite dirty word, and why the internet is bullshit.

On Star Wars: “My acting was not exactly respected in those films [laughs] but those are the moments when you want to prove yourself again. When people think I suck, it helps.”

Her Favorite Dirty Word: “To be successful, you need the desire to be successful. Ambition can be a dirty word, but it’s pretty much more important than anything.”

On how the internet affects her roles: “[O]nline bulls— interferes with what I want to do artistically. I’m not opposed to sexuality or nudity in a film, but I’m very opposed to pornography sites and you’re pretty much giving them material if you do any of that.”

Natalie Portman is without a bushy beard this morning, because she has reportedly canceled her relationship with silent-movie actress Devendra Banhart. No, he’s a musician, but his name was meant for a different era.

Natalie Portman and her folk-rocker boyfriend Devendra Banhart have broken up. Portman, 27, began dating Banhart, also 27, after starring in his “Carmensita” video, which was shot last March. A short time later, they took their romance public when they were spotting kissing on the streets of New York and over a sushi dinner at Jewel Bako. A fan of Banhart’s music, Portman had asked him to donate a track to the charity compilation she curated on iTunes, Big Change: Songs for FINCA. She returned the favor by forgoing her usual fee to appear in the video. “They got together right after the video shoot,” a source said at the time.”

Devendra Banhart kinda looks like Jesus, except Jesus could do cool stuff like raise you from the dead and put your ear back on when one of your friends cut it off. Banhart wears eyeliner and silk scarves and writes songs about seahorses and butterflies. Who knows why Natalie Portman broke up with him, but let’s not rule out that he might have stolen her nail polish.

That’s Devendra Banhart folks, who you may bring to mind is the man that Natalie Portman is currently dating. There’s a goddamn winner for you, huh? I presume if I were dating Natalie Portman, I’d want a large penis to obscure my face, too. In fact, for this guy, it’s an improvement. I’m sure he’s got a huge sense of humor, though: I mean, what could be funnier than Groucho Penisface glasses?

Some hot doggy decided to show Natalie Portman just how he felt about her in a NYC park the other day. Natalie was walking her dog when she decided to bend down. That’s when this pooch pounced on the chance to take a wizz on Queen Amidala. That hot bitch was obviously “pissed” off with Natalie for some reason.

I’d like to punch her in the stomach for wearing that Stop Wars shirt and then I would like to sever the arm off of whoever thought it up just like Ben Kenobi did in the bar at Mos Eisley.

Geez, Natalie. When did laziness become the new sexy? Were you trying to take a nap during the Marie Claire photo shoot? How about a wink? Or a crooked grin? Anything to suggest that you’re not just bored shitless.

I’m really hoping that this is just a wig on Natalie Portman, because she was looking so cute in her curls last week in NY. She’s on some reshoots for Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium in Toronto, so I do believe that my hopes are true. Not that Natalie can’t completely kick ass in short hair (we know she can, of course), but this particular look is not something that I like.
