Melanie Brown, who gave birth to Eddie Murphy’s daughter in April, married her boyfriend, Steven Belafonte, in June, according to Clark County marriage records.

Murphy acknowledged his paternity of Brown’s daughter, Angel, last week, one day after the 32-year-old singer took legal action to establish him as the parent.

Belafonte is a movie producer whose recent credits include Sisters and Thank You for Smoking. Brown was known as Scary Spice when she performed with the Spice Girls, whom she will join for the band’s reunion tour in December and January.

A marriage certificate filed with Clark County, which encompasses Las Vegas, lists the date of the couple’s nuptials as June 6. It does not state exactly where they were married.

I’m a little disappointed with Scary. I would’ve thought she’d throw herself a splashy wedding filled with celebrities in order to nab a multi-million dollar photo deal with OK! She should’ve at least done that, because we all know this shit isn’t gone last!

People Magazine is reporting that the DNA results for Murphy Brown came back and Eddie Murphy is indeed the father. Sources close to Melanie Brown say that Angel Iris Murphy Brown is definitely Eddie’s.

They said, “There was no doubt in people’s minds anyways, least of all hers. It wasn’t a surprise to her. She knew all along.”

Eddie hasn’t seen baby Iris yet and wouldn’t comment on the latest results.

Man, I hope he feels like a piece of shit. What an asshole. I feel sorry for the kid when she grows up and reads about this unhappy story.
