Elizabeth Taylor updated her Twitter informing everyone she has to go in for a very new type of surgery to try and fix her heart. If you have any spare prayers lying around, she’d appreciate them. If not, then you can go to hell.

“Dear Friends, I would like to let you know before it gets in the papers that I am going into the hospital to have a procedure on my heart. It’s very new and involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better. Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate. I’ll let you know when it’s all over. Love you, Elizabeth.”

So check under your bed, seat cushions and panty drawer for prayers (or nice thoughts) to send to Elizabeth.

Today, the Staples Center in Los Angeles will be filled with thousands of people for Michael Jackson’s memorial, but his bestest friend Elizabeth Taylor won’t be there. Liz Twittered that she didn’t want to be a part of it.

“I’ve been asked to speak at the Staples Center. I cannot be part of the public whoopla. And I cannot guarantee that I would be coherent to say a word. I just don’t believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us. Not a public event. I said I wouldn’t go to the Staples Center and I certainly don’t want to become a part of it. I love him too much.”

And, for the record, she also writes she’s “not on suicide watch.”

The memorial will be televised on most major networks at 10am Pacific. So far, the list of performers and speakers include: Usher, Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, Rev. Al Sharpton, Shaheen Jafargholi (from Britain’s Got Talent), Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson and Brooke Shields.

Elizabeth Taylor has issued a statement about the death of her bestest bestie. Sads.

“My heart … my mind … are broken. I loved Michael with all my soul and I can’t imagine life without him. We had so much in common and we had such loving fun together. I was packing up my clothes to go to London for his opening when I heard the news. I still can’t believe it. I don’t want to believe it. It can’t be so. He will live in my heart forever but it’s not enough. My life feels so empty. I don’t think anyone knew how much we loved each other. The purest most giving love I’ve ever known. Oh God! I’m going to miss him. I can’t yet imagine life without him. But I guess with God’s help … I’ll learn. I keep looking at the photo he gave me of himself, which says, ‘To my true love Elizabeth, I love you forever.’ And, I will love HIM forever.”

Elizabeth Taylor, one of Michael Jackson’s closest and most supportive friends for nearly two decades, is grieving her loss in private at this time.

“Dame Elizabeth Taylor is too devastated by the passing of her dear friend Michael Jackson to issue a statement at this time.”

Taylor, who was a close and dear friend to Jackson for several years, was the one who dubbed him the “King of Pop.”

An Andy Warhol painting of Elizabeth Taylor sold for an unbelievable $23.7 million on Tuesday during an auction at Christie’s. An anonymous bidder shelled out big bucks for the 40 x 40 painting titled “Liz (Colored Liz),” completed in 1963.

There are a dozen versions of this painting, each with a different colored background and eye shadow. This version is known as “Turquoise Liz.”

At last night’s Macy’s Passport AIDS event in Los Angeles, 75-year-old Elizabeth Taylor confirmed that she had a new hot piece in her life. Liz has been dating Hawaiin businessman, Jason Winters. Now I don’t think he’s a gold digger, because he bought Liz a house in Hawaii.

She said, “Jason Winters is one of the most wonderful men I’ve ever known and that’s why I love him. He bought us the most beautiful house in Hawaii and we visit it as often as possible.”

Jason will become Liz’s 9th husband!!! 9th!!!!
