Kanye West Speaks

Kanye West has issued a statement regarding the sudden death of his mother and manager, Dr. Donda West. Donda passed away on Saturday from complications possibly due to a tummy tuck and breast reduction.
Kanye issued this statement:
“Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West.
“After working in higher education for 31 years, Dr. Donda West and Kanye West co-founded the Kanye West Foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country. The first and signature initiative of the Kanye West Foundation is Loop Dreams. Designed to capitalize on students existing interest in hip-hop, Loop Dreams challenges students to learn more about what’s behind hip-hop culture in order to help them develop skills, express themselves creatively and be empowered.
“In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West’s name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute. Those donations can be made by visiting the Foundation’s Web site, www.KanyeWestFoundation.org or by mail at Kanye West Foundation, 8560 W. Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069.”
TMZ reports that the plastic surgeon that performed the surgeries claims he did nothing wrong and it was not his fault. Dr. Jan Adams said Donda changed her mind several times about the surgery. He’s not sure what she passed away from, but said it could have been caused by a heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or massive vomiting. Another plastic surgeon came forward saying he passed on Donda’s surgery, because of her past medical condition. Dr. Jan Adams has called this surgeon “sleazy.”
I can’t understand why they won’t the family grieve in peace. Let them have a proper funeral for her, and then start the investigation. I understand that moving quickly in these cases is important, just in case this Doctor isn’t practicing the safest methods possible and that’s what killed her. However there was clearly no foul play involved and these people need to give it a rest.
I admire Kanye and his music. I am so sorry for him and his family.
